Hardware
Computer:
Computer is a machine what incluses motherboard,
processor, displaycard, hard-drive and power. Those pices of computer
do own works. Case is covering those.
Processor: Processor do all work in computer. In processor
there are
half pf processor only L2-Cache where processor can save
data
what it will use next. With good processor in computer, you can calculate
everything faster and computer is faster then aswell. I tell later
about
overclocking. Two important processor producer are AMD
(Advanced
Micro Devices) and Intel.
Motheboard: Every parts is on motherboard there are socket
to
processor and AGP/PCI/PCI-E place to displaycard. Also there is slots
to memory 2-4 slots. In motherboard there are everything fastened..
Power: Power is converter and it gives to computer100W-1kW
(1kW = 1000W) power.
Voltages are 12V, 5V and 3,3V. Motherboard takes 12V and it
takes aswell 5V and 3.3V.
Displaycard: In displaycard there are memory DDR/GDDR1-4 and
processor.
Displaycard is important thing to be good in games, without good
displaycard you can't play very many games. And everything with low
settings. Two important displaycard producers are Nvidia and
Ati.
Hard-drive: Hard-drive is place where you can save all
data on your computer. There are much capacity 512MB-2TB (1024GB =
1TB and 512MB = 0,5GB)
Clockrates:
1000Hz = 1KHz
1000KHz = 1MHz
1000MHz = 1GHz
1000GHz = 1THz
So we have to move 1600MHz to GHz.
1600/1000 = 1.6
so 1600MHz = 1,6GHz
Then 1THz to MHz
1THz = 1000000MHz (1*1000*1000 = 1000000)
1THz is 1000000MHz.
Bytes/Bits:
Remember 1b is 1 bit and 1B is 1byte.
8b = 1B (8 bits = 1 Byte)
16b = 2B (16 bits = 2 Bytes)
1024Kb = 128KB
So function is 1B*8 you can move 1Byte to bits. and you get 1B*8 = 8bits
One Megabyte in kilobytes is not divided at 1000 you have to divide
with 1024. 1*1024 = 1024. So 1MB is 1024KB
1800MB to GB is = 1,7578125 (1800/1024). 1,7578125 ≈
1,76GB.
Then you have to move 1Gb (Gigabit not Gigabyte) to MegaBytes.
1Gb = 128MB (1024/8)
You can see sometimes mistakes in advarvisment.
